Polish Fork Lift Truck Instructors

13th December 2007

In response to increasing demand from numerous customers for fork lift truck operator training courses conducted in the Polish language, Mentor has recruited and trained two Polish instructors to add to their team of 150 training professionals.


Construction Industry Deaths

Health and Safety Commission (HSC) Chair Sir Bill Callaghan said the loss of 241 lives is unacceptable and issued a fresh challenge to industry to place safety at the top of its priorities and do more to protect the work force


Driver Of The Year Events

2nd November 2007

Combilift Ltd, the originator of the Combilift range of 4-way forklifts, recently held its first Regional Driver of the Year event for the North West at Haydock Park, which attracted participants from a wide range of industry sectors as well as the best of the autumn weather.


Extractive Industry

17th October 2007

Mentor has become the first training organisation to be successfully accredited by EMP Awarding Body Ltd to provide plant training in the Extractive and Mineral Processing Industry.


Driver of the Year

12th October 2007

Organised by Brakes, the reach truck driver of the year competition is open to all Brake’s Group employees. Employees have been nominated for the competition by their respective warehouse managers with a chance to win a trip for four to Euro Disney.


Combilift Open Day

27th September 2007

Mentor has been asked to organise and judge the Regional Driver of the Year Event for Combilift’s first ever open day at Haydock racecourse. The day will be packed with displays and demonstrations of Combilift’s wide range of 4-way forklift trucks.


Forklift Truck Safety Guide

1st June 2007

With the success of the first edition of the Fork Lift Truck Safety guide. Mentor have added to its contents and published the second edition of this informative pocket guide.


Pre Shift Checks

2nd April 2007

Pre shift checks are a vital part of safe Fork Lift Truck operation. The HSE recommends that inspections should be carried out at the beginning of each shift or day. These regular checks help to ensure that the equipment being used is in a safe working condition thus reducing the risk of accidents.


Operator Safety

Today the greater number of operators using materials handling equipment and workplace transport are increasing the risk of accidents and making it harder to administer an efficient and effective approach to monitor and manage which delegate is trained on each piece of equipment.
