The Health and Safety Executive has identified that 4.9 million working days are lost to business each year through back pain at an annual cost to the economy of £5 billion.

Mentor believe that prevention is the key when it comes to manual handling.  The course is designed to assist delegates in identifying situations where manual handling techniques are absolutely necessary.  It provides the skills and knowledge required to perform manual lifting and handling operations competently and safely.

The course information is based on the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, amended 2002.  In addition, these regulations implement European Directive 90/269/EEC.

Course lengths vary depending on the number of delegates.
