Training for Fork Truck Operators

Fork Truck Courses - nationally recognised and approved training.

All materials handling suppliers strongly recommend that fork truck training must be undertaken by anyone using equipment (even if only for a short while!). The investment in training is soon repaid by the reduction in damage to the truck, load and buildings, as well as the speed and safety of operations.

Fork truck trainingFork truck training should never be carried out by anyone other than a suitably qualified and accredited instructor; Mentor has 115 of these, strategically located throughout the UK to provide a dedicated training service to all of its customers. Regular monitoring of the instructors provides Mentors customers with the reassurance that all of our instructors carry out training to the highest standards.

Mentors' base in Chesterfield provides the ideal central location for nationwide coverage. Our second training centre in Bromsgrove also provides an excellent training location as well as being our back-up office facility for disaster recovery purposes.

When employing new operators an employer must insist on seeing evidence of qualifications. If a valid certificate is not available then it is the employers' responsibility to carry out a training assessment. This assessment will indicate to the employer the level that the operator needs to be trained to and arrange a suitable training course. If the new operator has been previously trained, by Mentor (within the last 7 years) they will be held on Mentors training database. Mentor is unable to release copies of operators certificates without written authorisation from the company who originally trained the operator. However confirmation of past training can be verbally confirmed over the telephone.

Mentor aim to provide the highest standard of training within the industry and are always looking to embrace new ways of delivering training to keep it accurate, up to date with any new Health and Safety Policies and interesting for the delegates

Depending on the experience of your operators Mentor can offer a training package to suit. Courses are usually 1, 3 or 5 days and the operators can be mixed and matched to achieve maximum value for money.
